An invitation for the upcoming show at Cesano Maderno, in the wonderful setting of the Baroque chapel of S.s. Angeli Custodi, part of the the magical Villa Borromeo. Hope to see you there. If you can't reach the town, no worry, the photographs will be published soon after the show ends. (But, considering that the paintings can be termed of medium-large size, you will be unfortunately missing quite a large quantities of details.)

I made a site-specific gardening/mapping project for the Ecoismi 2012 show at Cassano d'Adda, in Milan province in Italy. The show will be on until the 23rd of September, and you can follow the development of the project on Cassano d'Adda Garden Map web site.

ON FLOWSCAPING (ARTIST STATEMENT BETA 0.12.2.1)
In this text I will try to sum up what my visual production is about at this moment. Essentially, my images are the spatiotemporal representation of socially produced flows over a determinate surface, a landscape, so I will provisionally term them "flowscapes". I understand flows as complex social, economic and political constructs of material and immaterial nature, as they are carriers of energy and information. Their principal characteristic is that they are vectors, thus they imply movement through time and space. They do not travel through this time and space smoothly, rather they continuously interact with their environment and other vectors. Flows are also capable of achieving moments of crystallization, when they "anchor" themselves to the ground, and by doing that, they change their structure and organisation. The interplay between these two states is critical for their social perception, and this transformative moment is one of the key moments of "flowscapes".
